HOMEMADE ORANGE CUPCAKES

Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Unsalted butter 1/2 cup
Granulated sugar 1 cup
Eggs 2

Orange juice 1/2 cup
Orange zest 1 tablespoon
Milk 1/2 cup

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and place cupcake liners in a muffin tin.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and orange zest until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract and orange juice.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds full with the batter and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cupcakes cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Decorate your cupcakes with your favorite frosting or ganache.

Orange Glaze:
