Ingredients:
Instructions:
-
Prep Pan & First Layer: Line a deep 9×13-inch pan with plastic wrap, making sure the sheets of plastic hang over the sides. This will make it easier to lift the cake out later. Arrange the Nutty Buddy wafer bars to form a solid, single layer in the bottom of the pan. You may need to break some of the bars in half to fit them neatly into the corners.
-
Add Vanilla & Fudge Layers: Allow the vanilla ice cream to soften slightly, then scoop it on top of the layer of Nutty Buddy bars. Spread it into a flat, even layer. Drizzle the hot fudge over the top of the vanilla ice cream layer.
-
Add Chocolate Layer: Arrange a second layer of Nutty Buddy wafer bars over the fudge layer. Allow the chocolate ice cream to soften slightly, then scoop it on top of the second wafer layer and spread it evenly until the top is flat.
-
Freeze: Cover the pan tightly with the overhanging plastic wrap. Place the cake in the freezer and freeze for at least 6 hours or, ideally, overnight, to ensure it is completely firm.
-
Garnish & Serve: Just before serving, lift the cake out of the pan using the plastic wrap handles. Remove the plastic wrap and place the cake on a serving platter. Sprinkle the ¼ cup chopped dry roasted peanuts over the top and drizzle with more hot fudge if desired. Slice and serve immediately.
This ice cream cake is a fun and easy dessert that will bring back fond memories!
