Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Angel food cake 1, prepared
Instant cheesecake pudding mix 1 package (3.4 oz)
Milk 1 1/2 cups
Sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt) 1 cup
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Cherry pie filling 1 pack (30 ounces)
Cold whip 1 container (8 ounces)
Roasted almond slices (optional) 1 tablespoon

Instructions:

  1. Cut the angel food cake into cubes and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  3. In a 13 x 9 baking dish, layer half of the cake cubes in the bottom of the pan.
  4. Top the cake cubes with half of the cherry pie filling.
  5. Repeat the cake layer.
  6. Pour the pudding mixture over the cake and spread it evenly.
  7. Spoon the cold whip over the pudding layer.
  8. Place the remaining cherry pie filling on top.
  9. Refrigerate the cake for 4 hours or overnight.
  10. When ready to serve, sprinkle the roasted almond slices on top (optional).
