Ingredients

Refrigerated crescent rolls 2 tubes (8 oz each) Base dough
Deli ham 12 slices Fold if needed
Sharp cheddar cheese 12 slices Or preferred melting cheese
Unsalted butter 4 tbsp For glaze
Local honey 2 tbsp Sweetness
Dijon mustard 1 tbsp Tangy flavor
Fresh thyme leaves ½ tsp Optional herb
Garlic powder ¼ tsp Seasoning
Black pepper To taste Freshly cracked

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Brown the butter: In a light-colored skillet, cook butter over medium heat, stirring constantly, until golden and nutty (5–7 minutes). Remove from heat.
  3. Make glaze: Whisk honey, Dijon, thyme, garlic powder, and pepper into the browned butter.
  4. Prepare crescents: Unroll dough and separate into triangles.
  5. Layer filling: Place a slice of ham on the wide end of each triangle, then top with cheese.
  6. Roll up: Starting at the wide end, roll tightly toward the point.
  7. Arrange & glaze: Place rolls on baking sheet, leaving space between. Brush generously with glaze.
  8. Bake: 12–15 minutes, until deeply golden brown.
  9. Cool & serve: Let rest 5 minutes before serving warm.
