Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Crescent roll dough (8 oz cans) 2
Sliced fresh strawberries 1 1/2 cups
Butter 3/4 cup
Brown sugar 1 1/4 cup
Vanilla 2 teaspoons
Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice 2 teaspoons
7Up or Sprite soda 1 cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare strawberries: Wash and slice strawberries. Set aside 1 cup for filling and 1/2 cup for topping.
  3. Roll dumplings: Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place a few strawberry slices at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough, tucking in sides to seal strawberries inside. Place rolled dumplings in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. Make sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth. Pour sauce over strawberry-filled dumplings in baking dish.
  5. Bake: Carefully pour 7Up or Sprite around the edges of baking dish, not directly over dumplings. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until dumplings are golden brown and sauce is bubbling.
  6. Serve: Let dumplings cool slightly before serving. Top with remaining sliced strawberries. Enjoy with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
