Ingredients:

Ingredient Amount
Warm Milk 240 ml (1 cup)
Condensed Milk 75 g (¼ cup)
Egg 1
Sugar 30 g (2 tbsp)
Dry Yeast 7 g (2 ¼ tsp)
Flour 520 g (4 ¼ cup)
Salt 1 tsp
Butter (softened) 50 g (¼ cup)
Butter (for brushing) 45 g (3 tbsp)
Condensed Milk 45 g (3 tbsp)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, condensed milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Mix well. Add an egg and whisk again. In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Gradually add softened butter while kneading until fully incorporated into the dough.
  3. Let the Dough Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Shape the Bread: Divide the dough into two portions. Roll out one portion into a rectangle, about 25×40 cm in size. Roll the dough into a log and cut it into pieces. Place the pieces in a prepared baking pan. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
  5. Let the Bread Rise Again: Cover the shaped dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise for another hour.
  6. Preheat the Oven: While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  7. Bake the Bread: Once the dough has risen, brush the top of each bun with egg wash. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. If making smaller buns, bake for about 20 minutes.
  8. Brush with Condensed Milk Butter: In a small bowl, whisk together equal parts of butter and condensed milk. Brush the warm bread with this mixture as soon as they come out of the oven.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy your fluffy condensed milk bread!
