Easy Molasses Buns

These soft and chewy molasses buns are a classic treat. The rich flavor of molasses combines perfectly with the warm spices, making for a delightful bite.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Milk 1/2 cup
Egg 1
Molasses 1 cup
Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Baking Soda 2 teaspoons
Sugar 1/2 cup
Butter 1 cup
Flour 4 cups

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine milk, egg, molasses, cinnamon, and baking soda. Stir well.
  2. Add sugar and butter to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  3. Warm the mixture in the microwave for 40 seconds.
  4. Gradually add flour to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into balls and place them in rows on a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the buns cool slightly before serving.
