🌟 From Childhood Fame to Lifelong Challenges
Donny’s career began before he turned six, and he’s been chased by devoted fans ever since. But fame hasn’t shielded him from health struggles. He once recounted a scary incident during “Osmondmania” in Manchester, when an overzealous fan nearly cost him an eye.

“She had a pen in her hand and hugged me so tightly, the pen jabbed me right in the eye,” Donny recalled in an interview with Metro. “It almost took my eye out.”
🩺 A Turning Point in 2019
During the final show of his Las Vegas residency with sister Marie, Donny experienced alarming symptoms.

“I couldn’t feel my arms—and suddenly, my legs too,” he told Mirror.
“I didn’t say anything. I just danced through the show.”
The cause was a spinal shift linked to injuries from his 2009 Strictly Come Dancing win. Though surgery initially seemed successful, a secondary infection left him temporarily unable to move. Rehab was intense, and Donny feared he’d never walk again. But he overcame the setback—slowly, and with determination.
🎬 Back in the Hospital, Still Singing
This week, Donny posted a video from the operating room wearing a hospital gown and nasal cannula. In true Osmond fashion, he found a moment of levity even as sedation set in.
“When are you going to start singing?” someone asked.
Without missing a beat, Donny launched into Disney’s Mulan anthem:
“Let’s get down to business…”
“I’m starting to get dizzy,” he said with a smile, drifting off mid-song. Moments later, he woke up still singing.
He captioned the video:
“What better way to power through a procedure than singing your all-time favorite rally song?! I’m feeling all better now!”
