Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Chicken wings (amount not specified in recipe)
Cooking wine 2 tablespoons
Light soy sauce 2 tablespoons
Salt ½ teaspoon
Black pepper ½ teaspoon
Egg 1
Starch 1-2 tablespoons
Oil (enough for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the chicken wings: Using a chicken wing knife (or sharp knife), cut the wings into separate pieces at the joint. In a bowl, combine the cooking wine, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken wings and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the batter: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and starch.
  3. Fry the wings: Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Dip each marinated chicken wing in the batter, coating evenly. Carefully add the wings to the hot oil and fry for a few minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Be sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Drain and serve: Once cooked, transfer the wings to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
