Creamy Chicken and Noodles

Ingredients

Chicken
2 large chicken breasts (about 500g), cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika (optional)
Noodles
250 g egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
Creamy Sauce
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely diced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp dried thyme
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional Garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Chicken

  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken and cook 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt remaining butter.
  • Add onion and garlic; sauté 2–3 minutes until soft.
  • Sprinkle in flour and whisk for 1 minute.
  • Slowly pour in chicken broth, whisking to avoid lumps.
  • Stir in cream, cheese, and thyme. Cook 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

4. Combine

  • Add cooked chicken and noodles to the sauce.
  • Stir until evenly coated and heated through.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley if desired.
