Creamed Chicken and Biscuits Casserole Recipe

Cooked Chicken (cut or shredded) 2 pounds
Cream of Chicken Soup (canned) 1 can
Mayonnaise ½ cup
Milk 1 cup
Roasted Red Pepper (chopped) ½ cup
Cheddar Cheese (mild, shredded) 1 ½ cups
Refrigerated Biscuit Dough (canned) 1 can

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish.
  3. Sauté Onion: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until softened.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the sautéed onion, cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, milk, and chopped roasted red pepper. Mix well.
  5. Bake Initially: Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Add Biscuits and Cheese: Remove the baking dish from the oven. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese evenly over the chicken mixture. Top with the biscuits. Sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup of cheese.
