Step 1: Prepare Crackers: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and lay out 1-2 sleeves of Ritz crackers in a single layer.

Step 2: Cook Caramel Base: In a saucepan, heat the 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 1/3 cup butter, and 1/3 cup brown sugar over medium heat for 7-8 minutes, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens slightly.

Step 3: Finish Filling: Lower the heat. Whisk in the 3 tablespoons milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup chopped peanuts. Cook for 2 more minutes until the filling is thickened, then remove from heat.
