Step 2: Brown the Meat and Veggies: Place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef and begin to brown it. When the meat is about half-cooked, stir in the 2 chopped bell peppers and the 1/2 chopped onion. Continue cooking until the meat is fully browned and the vegetables have softened.

Step 3: Season and Drain: Add the 1 teaspoon of seasoned salt and 2 teaspoons of minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for just 30 seconds more until the garlic is fragrant. Drain off any excess grease from the pan to keep the casserole from becoming oily.
Step 4: Layer the Dish: Spread the beef and vegetable mixture evenly across the bottom of your prepared baking dish. Lay the 8 slices of provolone cheese over the top of the meat in a single layer.
Step 5: Add the Egg Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the 4 eggs, 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream, and 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce.4 Pour this mixture slowly over the meat and cheese in the baking dish.
Step 6: Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35/40 minutes. The casserole is ready when the egg mixture is set and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
Serving Suggestions
This casserole is quite filling on its own, but it also tastes great topped with a little extra black pepper or even some sautéed mushrooms.
