Step 3: Add Aromatics: Stir in the 1 tablespoon of ginger paste and 5 teaspoons of minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 4: Simmer the Sauce: Pour in the 1/2 cup of beef broth, 1/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/3 cup of hoisin sauce, and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Add black pepper and red pepper flakes to your preferred heat level. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10/15 minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens slightly.

Step 5: Toss and Serve: Add the cooked linguini into the skillet with the meat and sauce. Toss thoroughly until the noodles are completely coated. Serve immediately, topped with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Pro Tips

  • Linguini vs. Rice Noodles: While linguini is a great pantry staple for this, you can also use wide rice noodles or even ramen noodles for a more authentic texture.

  • Vegetable Boost: To make this a one-pan meal, toss in some shredded carrots or steamed broccoli florets when you add the noodles.
