How To Make Cinnamon Sugar Donut Sweet Bread:

  1. Step 1: Prep & Preheat: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Step 4: Combine: Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix; the batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.
  5. Step 5: Pour & Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, cover the loaf loosely with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  6. Step 6: Add Topping: While the bread is baking, mix together the cinnamon sugar topping by combining the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Once the bread is out of the oven and still warm, brush the top with the melted butter and generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the entire loaf.
  7. Step 7: Cool & Serve: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy.
