- Cream the base: In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter, 2 cups sugar, and eggs until smooth.
- Mix the batter: Add buttermilk, flour, and baking soda. Stir until well combined.
- Prepare pans: Grease two loaf pans. Pour in half the batter, dividing evenly.
- Make cinnamon mixture: In a small bowl, combine 2/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
- Layer and swirl: Sprinkle 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture over batter. Add remaining batter on top, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl.
