Bread, sliced 12 slices
Margarine 1/2 cup
Mozzarella and cheddar cheese, shredded 4 cups

Instructions:

  1. Cook ground beef: Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions and bacon: Stir in diced onion and bacon bits to the cooked beef. Cook until onions soften.
  3. Make sauce: Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, and onion powder in a small bowl.
  4. Combine: Stir the sauce into the ground beef mixture.
  5. Prepare casserole: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread margarine on one side of each bread slice.
  6. Layer: Place 6 bread slices (margarine side down) in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with half of the ground beef mixture and half of the cheese. Repeat with remaining bread, ground beef, and cheese.
  7. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.
