Apple Pie Bread

I’ve always had a soft spot for apple pie, but lately, I’ve been yearning for something that offers the same warm, cozy feeling in a different form. That’s when I came across the idea of apple pie bread and couldn’t resist giving it a try.

Ingredients

Apple pie filling 21 oz can
Unsalted butter (room temperature) 1 cup
Granulated sugar 1/2 cup
Light brown sugar (packed) 1/2 cup
Large eggs 2
Pure vanilla extract 1 tbsp
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Baking soda 1 tsp
Apple pie spice blend 1 tsp
Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
Fine salt 1/2 tsp
Raisins 3/4 cup
Chopped walnuts 3/4 cup
Instructions
  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Loaf Pan: Lightly grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  3. Prepare the Apples: In a separate bowl, crumble the apples from the pie filling with a fork and set aside.
  4. Mix the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugars together until creamy and smooth.
  5. Combine Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, crumbled apples, and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until well combined.
  6. Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift the flour, baking soda, apple pie spice, cinnamon, and salt together in a separate bowl.
  7. Combine Ingredients: Gradually stir the flour mixture into the apple mixture until just combined.
  8. Add Raisins and Walnuts: Fold in the raisins and chopped walnuts.
  9. Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  10. Bake the Bread: Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool the Bread: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then remove it from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely.
