Instructions:

Prepare the Pastry:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, cubed butter, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Shape into a rectangle, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

- Beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy and combined.

- In a saucepan, combine diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft and the mixture thickens.
