Instructions:
- Brown the Ground Beef:
- Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
- Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet.
- Break up the beef with a spoon or spatula as it cooks.
- Cook until the beef is no longer pink and is fully browned.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Add the Chopped Vegetables:
- To the skillet with the browned ground beef, add 1 chopped yellow onion, 1 chopped green bell pepper, and 1 chopped red bell pepper.
- Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season the Mixture:
- Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of beef bouillon granules, ½ teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of seasoned salt, and ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper over the beef and vegetable mixture in the skillet.
- Stir well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
- Cook the Rice:
- In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Once boiling, add 1 cup of uncooked white rice to the pot.
- Stir briefly, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
- Simmer the rice for 15-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- Combine and Serve:
- Once the rice is cooked, add it to the skillet with the beef and vegetable mixture.
- Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the rice to absorb any remaining liquid.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
