Olive oil 2 tablespoons
Honey or sugar 2 tablespoons
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic powder (optional) 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare cucumbers: Wash cucumbers thoroughly and slice thinly. Optional: Soak slices in ice water for 30 minutes for extra crispness. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Prepare onion: Peel and thinly slice red onion. Optional: Soak in cold water for 10 minutes to reduce strong flavor.
  3. Make dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, olive oil, honey or sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using). Adjust taste as needed.
  4. Combine salad: In a large bowl, combine sliced cucumbers, red onion, and dill. Pour dressing over the mixture and toss gently to coat.
  5. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Serve: Serve chilled as a side dish. Garnish with dill or black sesame seeds if desired.
