According to my neighbor, this ‘Golden Delight’ is the most delicious dish she’s ever tasted!

This savory homemade bread is filled with the chewy texture of sun-dried tomatoes and the aromatic flavor of mixed herbs, perfect for dipping in olive oil.

Step 3: Knead and First Rise: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-1.5 hours.
Step 4: Flavor and Shape: Punch down the dough to release the air. Then, knead in the 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes and 1 tablespoon mixed dried herbs until they are evenly distributed. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased rectangular metal baking pan.
Step 5: Second Rise: Cover the loaf and let it rise again for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in volume.
Step 6: Preheat and Bake: Preheat your oven to 375F (190C). Brush the top of the loaf with a little extra olive oil, then bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Step 7: Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
