Ingredients:

For the Crust and Crumble
Wheat flour 3 cups
Refined sugar 1 cup
Baking powder 1.5 teaspoons
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 pinch
Unsalted butter (cold) 3/4 cup
Whole egg 1
For the Filling
Ripe bananas 10
Lime juice Juice of 2 limes
Whole eggs 5
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Condensed milk 1.5 cans
Milk 2 cups

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bananas: Peel and slice 10 ripe bananas. Pour lime juice over them to prevent browning.
  2. Make the Crust and Crumble: Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in cold butter. Add egg and vanilla essence. Mix until crumbly.
  3. Prepare the Filling: Mix liquid ingredients in a separate bowl until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Pie: Press 2/3 of the crumbly mixture into a greased pie dish. Arrange banana slices over the crust. Pour the filling over the bananas. Sprinkle the remaining crumbly mixture on top.
  5. Bake the Pie: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until golden brown and set. Let cool completely before serving.
