Cheeseburger Wraps Recipe

These Cheeseburger Wraps are the perfect solution for when you’re craving the flavors of a classic diner burger but want something a bit more portable and lighter than a heavy bun. By using a mix of cheddar and mozzarella, you get that iconic sharp flavor with a superior “cheese pull.” Toasting the wraps at the end is the secret move here—it seals the seam and gives the tortilla a satisfying crunch that mimics a toasted burger bun.

Cheeseburger Wraps

Ingredients:

Ingredient Amount
Ground beef 450 g (1 lb)
Flour tortillas 4 large
Shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup
Shredded mozzarella (optional) 1/2 cup
Onion, finely chopped 1 small
Chopped pickles 1/2 cup
Shredded lettuce 1 cup
Tomato, diced 1 medium
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Paprika 1 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Sauce (Optional):
Mayonnaise 1/4 cup
Ketchup 2 tablespoons
Mustard 1 teaspoon

How To Make Cheeseburger Wraps:

Step 1: Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for 6/8 minutes, using your spatula to break the meat into small crumbles, until it is fully browned and the onions are soft.

Step 2: Season: Sprinkle the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the beef. Stir well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed, then remove the skillet from the heat.

Note: Draining any excess grease at this stage will prevent your tortillas from getting soggy.

Step 3: Whisk the Sauce: If using the sauce, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous spoonful of the sauce in the center. Layer on a portion of the seasoned beef, a handful of the cheese blend, pickles, lettuce, and diced tomatoes.

Step 5: Wrap it Up: Fold the left and right sides of the tortilla toward the center, then roll it tightly from the bottom up, just like a burrito.

Step 6: The Golden Toast (Optional): For the best texture, place the wraps seam-side down in a hot, dry skillet. Toast for 1/2 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese inside has fully melted.
