Everything Bagel Bits

These Everything Bagel Bits are the ultimate addictive snack—salty, crunchy, and bursting with savory aromatics. By using oyster crackers as the base, you create a “micro-bagel” experience where the melted butter and Parmesan cheese act as a savory glue for the seeds and garlic flakes. They are perfect for party bowls, salad toppers, or just a late-night craving.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Prep the Station: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. This prevents the Parmesan cheese from sticking to the metal and makes cleanup a breeze.

Step 2: Toss and Coat: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the 3/4 cup of melted butter, the 1/2 cup of everything seasoning, and the 1/3 cup of Parmesan. Immediately add the oyster crackers and toss gently with a large spoon or spatula. Ensure the buttery mixture gets into all the nooks and crannies of the crackers.

Step 3: Bake until Toasty: Spread the crackers in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15/20 minutes.

Important: Stop and stir the crackers halfway through the baking time to ensure the bottom pieces don’t burn and the seasoning toasts evenly.

Step 4: The Crisping Phase: Remove the pan from the oven. The crackers might feel slightly soft while hot, but they will “snap” and become deeply crunchy as they cool. Let them rest on the pan for at least 10 minutes.

Step 5: Store and Enjoy: Once completely cool, transfer them to an airtight jar or container. They will stay fresh and crunchy for 2/3 weeks, making them a great make-ahead snack.
