Step 2: Create the Creamy Base: In a large mixing bowl, beat the 8 oz of softened cream cheese until smooth. Stir in the 1 cup of shredded cheese, 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 cup of diced onion, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3: Fold in Seafood: Gently fold in the 1 lb of shrimp and the 1 cup of crab meat. If your shrimp are large, you may want to chop them into bite-sized pieces so they distribute evenly throughout the dip.

Step 4: Bake: Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer. Bake for 25/30 minutes, or until the edges are bubbling and the top has turned a beautiful golden brown.

Step 5: Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes. This allows the cheese to set slightly so it stays on your dippers. Serve warm with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or celery sticks.
