Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake

Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake

| Beef broth | 1 cup |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 tablespoon |
| Heavy cream | 1 pint |
| Swiss cheese, grated | 1/1/2 cups |

| Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper | To taste |
How To Make Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake:
Step 1: Prepare the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375F (190C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare Meatball Mixture: Place the 1 pound ground beef, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, 1 beaten egg, 1/2 grated onion, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp pepper in a large bowl. Mix well until just combined. Scoop and roll 1 1/2 tablespoons of the mixture into balls.

Step 3: Brown Meatballs: In a large skillet, heat the 2 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook until all sides are browned (they do not need to be cooked through). Transfer the meatballs to a plate and set aside.
Step 4: Cook Noodles: In the meantime, cook the 2 1/2 cups egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water for two minutes less than the package directions (al dente). Drain and set aside.
Step 5: Prepare Sauce: Add the 1 cup beef broth, 1 pint heavy cream, and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce to the now-empty skillet, scraping up any browned bits. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper, then remove the skillet from the heat.
Step 6: Assemble and Bake: Into the prepared baking dish, add the pasta and top with the browned meatballs. Evenly pour the sauce over the pasta and meatballs and sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups grated Swiss cheese. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
Step 7: Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the casserole to sit for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
