Granulated sugar 1/1/2 cups
Large eggs 2
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour 3/4 cup
Unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 cup
Salt 1/2 teaspoon

Semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped 8 ounces
Coconut oil 1 teaspoon (optional)

How To Make Chocolate-Covered Brownie Bars:

Step 1: Make the Brownie Base: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C).1 Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides. Melt the 1/2 cup butter and mix with the 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add the 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla until glossy. In a separate bowl, whisk together the 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until combined. Stir in optional add-ins (1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts) if desired.

Step 2: Bake: Spread the batter evenly in the lined pan and bake for 25-30 minutes (for 9×9-inch pan) or 30-35 minutes (for 8×8-inch pan), or until the center is set but still slightly soft.

Step 3: Cool Completely: Let the brownies cool fully in the pan on a wire rack. Cold brownies are essential for clean slicing.

Step 4: Slice: Use the parchment overhang to lift the cooled brownie slab out of the pan. Cut into desired bar or square shapes.

Step 5: Dip in Chocolate: Melt the 8 ounces of chopped chocolate (using a double boiler or microwave). Stir in the 1 teaspoon coconut oil (if using) for a smoother, glossier dip. Dip each brownie piece using a dipping fork, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl, then place onto parchment paper to set.

Step 6: Chill & Enjoy: Refrigerate the dipped bars for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate coating hardens completely. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
