How To Make Amish Apple Cinnamon Casserole:
- Step 1: Prepare the Apples: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, core, and slice 4 large apples. In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
- Step 2: Assemble the Casserole: Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Step 3: Make the Crumble Topping: In another bowl, combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter, 1/2 cup rolled oats, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
