Roasted Garlic Bread Spread

This Roasted Garlic Bread Spread elevates a simple garlic bread to a whole new level. The garlic is roasted until it’s sweet, caramelized, and soft, then mashed into a creamy, herbed butter. The resulting spread is rich, aromatic, and perfect for slathering on warm bread, adding to mashed potatoes, or melting over steak.

How To Make Roasted Garlic Bread Spread
- Roast the Garlic: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the top ¼ inch off the garlic heads, but keep the bulbs intact. Place the bulbs on a large piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle generously with olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt. Wrap the foil tightly around the garlic and roast until the cloves are soft and deeply golden brown, about 40-50 minutes.
- Make the Spread: Once the garlic is cool enough to handle, squeeze the softened garlic from the cloves into a medium-sized bowl. Add the softened butter, chopped parsley, kosher salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Combine & Mash: Using a fork, mash everything together until the mixture is evenly distributed. The garlic should be incorporated throughout the butter but should still have some small, visible bits.
- Store or Use: The spread is ready to use immediately on your favorite bread or toast. For storage, transfer the spread to a container and chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
