This recipe is a simple and comforting dish perfect for a busy weeknight. The slow cooker does all the work, leaving you with a delicious and hearty meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Refrigerated cheese tortellini 1 package (20 oz)
Ground beef or Italian sausage 1 lb
Marinara sauce 1 jar (24 oz)
Diced tomatoes 1 can (15 oz), drained
Mozzarella cheese, shredded 2 cups
Parmesan cheese, shredded 1 cup
Heavy cream 1 cup
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Onion powder 1 teaspoon
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste
Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional) For garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Combine ingredients: In your slow cooker, add the cooked meat, marinara sauce, and diced tomatoes. Stir to combine.

  3. Add tortellini: Add the cheese tortellini to the slow cooker and stir gently to coat the tortellini with the sauce mixture.

  4. Season: Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the top, then pour in the heavy cream. Mix everything gently.

  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

  6. Add cheese: About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover again and let the cheese melt into gooey perfection.

  7. Serve: Once everything is hot and bubbly, give it a final stir. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
