Garbage Bread Recipe

This hearty and flavorful Garbage Bread is a fun and easy way to use up leftover ingredients. It’s a perfect weeknight dinner or party appetizer.

Ingredients:

Ground beef 1 pound
Olive oil 1 tablespoon
Onion, finely chopped 1 small
Bell pepper, chopped 1
Garlic, minced 3 cloves
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon
Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
Ketchup 1/4 cup
Barbecue sauce 1/4 cup
Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 1/2 cups
Pizza dough, refrigerated 1 tube
Butter, melted 1 tablespoon
Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon
Parsley, chopped (for garnish) 1 tablespoon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the Filling: Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain excess grease. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until softened. Stir in salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, paprika, ketchup, and barbecue sauce.
  3. Assemble the Bread: Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle. Spread beef mixture over dough, leaving a border. Top with mozzarella cheese. Roll up dough, tucking in ends. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm, garnished with parsley.
