This classic baked spaghetti recipe is a comforting and satisfying dish that’s perfect for sharing with family and friends. The combination of hearty meat sauce, tender spaghetti, and melted cheese makes it a crowd-pleasing meal.

Ground Beef | 1 lb |
Onion (diced) | 1 medium |
Garlic (minced) | 3 cloves |
Marinara Sauce | 1 jar (24 oz) |
Dried Oregano | 1 teaspoon |
Dried Basil | 1 teaspoon |
Salt | 1/2 teaspoon |
Black Pepper | 1/2 teaspoon |
Red Pepper Flakes (optional) | 1/4 teaspoon |
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese | 2 cups |
Grated Parmesan Cheese | 1/2 cup |
Chopped Fresh Parsley (optional) | 1/4 cup |
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook Spaghetti: Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare Meat Sauce: In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add Sauce and Seasonings: Stir in marinara sauce, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
- Combine with Spaghetti: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked spaghetti with meat sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Assemble Casserole: Transfer half of the spaghetti mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese. Add remaining spaghetti mixture on top and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Cover baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley (if desired) and serve warm.
