These fluffy and delicious banana fritters are a quick and easy breakfast or snack option. They’re perfect for using up ripe bananas and are a great way to start your day with a sweet treat.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Ripe Bananas 3
All-Purpose Flour 1 cup
Granulated Sugar 2 tablespoons
Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
Ground Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Milk 1/2 cup
Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
Oil for Frying As needed
Powdered Sugar (optional) For dusting

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the mashed bananas, then pour in the milk and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
  4. Heat about 1/4 inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, flattening them slightly with the back of the spoon.
  6. Fry each side for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Be sure not to overcrowd the skillet.
  7. Transfer fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
