Salt 2 teaspoons
Semi-sweet chocolate, melted 1 ¾ cups

Caramel:

Dark brown sugar 1 cup
Sweetened condensed milk 1 cup
Corn syrup ⅔ cup
Butter 7 tablespoons
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Salt ½ teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Pecans: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread pecan halves on a baking sheet, drizzle with melted butter, and sprinkle with salt. Toast for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Stir occasionally.
  3. Make Caramel: In a saucepan, combine water, dark brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Assemble Georgia Browns: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange toasted pecan clusters on the sheet. Spoon melted chocolate over each cluster. Drizzle with caramel.
  5. Chill and Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Remove Georgia Browns from the refrigerator and serve at room temperature or slightly chilled.
