Biscuits and Gravy with Sausage and Egg Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Refrigerated biscuits (8 ct.) 1 tube
Ground breakfast sausage 1 lb.
Country gravy mix (2 packs) 2
Evaporated milk 1 can
Large eggs 12
Salt and pepper To taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown sausage: Brown the ground sausage in a skillet until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Make gravy: Reduce heat to medium. Sprinkle gravy mix over the sausage, along with 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 cup of water. Mix and sauté until thickened.
  4. Scramble eggs: In a bowl, mix together the eggs, 5 oz. of evaporated milk, salt, and pepper. Scramble the eggs lightly in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Layer casserole: In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer ⅓ of the meat and gravy. Top with half of the scrambled eggs. Add another layer of gravy, eggs, and then top with the remaining gravy mixture.
  6. Add biscuits: Place the biscuits on top of the casserole.
  7. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through.
