Instructions:
- Activate yeast: In a bowl, combine yeast and warm water. Let rest for a few minutes.
- Warm milk and buttermilk: In a microwave-safe container, heat milk and buttermilk until warm.
- Combine wet ingredients: Add melted butter to warm milk and buttermilk mixture. Combine with yeast, sugar, salt, and 1 cup flour in a mixing bowl. Beat on high with a dough hook until combined.
- Add egg: Add egg and beat until incorporated.
- Add remaining flour: Gradually add remaining flour until dough comes away from the dough hook.
- Let dough rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
