Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Cut in Butter: Cut cold butter into the flour mixture until crumbly.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in buttermilk, cheddar cheese, and scallions.
- Form Biscuits: Knead dough slightly, pat into a rectangle, and cut out biscuits.
- Prepare Egg Wash: Whisk together egg and water.
- Brush Biscuits: Brush egg wash on the tops of biscuits.
