Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Butter, softened 1 1/2 cups
Sugar 3 cups
Eggs 5
Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
Almond (or Lemon) Extract 2 teaspoons
All-purpose Flour 3 cups
Sprite, 7-Up, Or Sierra Mist 1 cup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs and Extracts: Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla and almond (or lemon) extract.
  4. Incorporate Flour and Soda: Gradually add flour alternating with 7 Up, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour into Pan: Pour batter into prepared bundt pan.
  6. Bake: Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely. Serve as is or with whipped cream.
