We’re hooked! My Alabama friend showed us this and we’ve made it 3 times so far this week

This classic Southern treat is a moist and flavorful quick bread with a delightful cinnamon-sugar swirl. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack.

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Butter, softened 1/2 cup
Granulated sugar 1 cup
Eggs, large 2
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Sour cream 1 cup
Brown sugar 1/4 cup
Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one by one, then stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in sour cream.
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  5. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining batter and cinnamon sugar. Swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
