Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Butter 3 tablespoons
Mini marshmallows 1 package (10 oz)
Semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup
Rice Krispies cereal 6 cups
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Cocoa powder (optional) 1/4 cup

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until they are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the pan from heat.
  4. Pour in the chocolate chips and stir until melted and well combined with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. If you’re feeling extra chocolatey, sift in the cocoa powder and stir it in until everything is evenly incorporated.
  7. Gently fold in the Rice Krispie cereal. Make sure all the cereal pieces are well coated with the chocolate mixture.
  8. Let the mixture cool slightly so it’s easier to handle without being too hot. You want it cool enough to mold into balls but not so hard it becomes difficult to work with.
  9. Grease your hands with some butter to prevent sticking. Scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a 1-inch ball. Place the ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Repeat scooping and rolling until all the mixture is used up.
  11. Let the balls cool and firm up for about 15-20 minutes before digging in!
